The earlier chloroquine caused heart problems but the newer hydroxychloroquine doesn&#8217;t. I just have to go to the eye doctor every 6 months just to make sure my eyes are o.k. but so far no problems. A doctor was on on Dr Oz today who treats lupus patients with the same drug &#8211; over 800 of them and apparently none have the virus. More studies are underway to make sure. A doctor who had it bad, with pneumonia in both lungs, treated himself with hydroxychloroquine and he&#8217;s now back at work.
